Excelsior Mining Corp. (TSX: MIN) (FSE: 3XS) (OTCQX: EXMGF) ("Excelsior" or the “Company”) reports that the nominees listed in the management information circular for the 2018 Annual General and Special Meeting of shareholders were elected as directors of Excelsior. Detailed results of the vote for the election of directors held at the Annual General and Special Meeting on June 28, 2018 in Vancouver, B.C., are set out below:

Shareholders at the Annual General and Special Meeting also approved the appointment of Excelsior’s auditors and Excelsior’s amended stock option plan with 89.09% of the votes in favour, Excelsior’s restricted share unit plan with 89.09% of the votes in favour, and Excelsior’s performance share unit plan with 89.39% of the votes in favour.

Excelsior is also pleased to welcome to the Board of Directors, Fred DuVal, a prominent Arizona businessman and education leader with extensive experience in both the private and public sector at both the state and federal level. Mr. DuVal is currently a consultant to many American businesses, and a member of Dentons Law, the largest law firm in the world; he is also a senior advisor to Macquarie Infrastructure on public-private partnerships. Mr. DuVal was the Democratic nominee for Governor of Arizona in 2014 and served as Chairman of the Arizona Board of Regents and on the Arizona Commerce Commission. Mr. DuVal was Chief of Protocol of the United States, Assistant to President Clinton in the White House and responsible for all Governors and state issues; he was also the Political Director for Vice President Al Gore.
